Privacy Notice
How the service handles submitted links, temporary files, technical logs and messages.
This notice explains information handled when you use or contact Save Video Online. It should be read together with the Terms of Use.
Information we may handle
- The media URL you submit and metadata returned by the source.
- Your IP address, browser information, request time and basic security or error logs.
- Consent evidence, including the accepted policy version, acceptance time, source domain, confirmation states and privacy-protected request or session identifiers.
- The selected output, job status and temporary generated file.
- Information you send in support, privacy, abuse or copyright communications.
Why we use it
Information is used to provide the requested conversion, document user confirmations, secure and troubleshoot the service, enforce rate limits and policies, respond to messages and complaints, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Temporary files and retention
Generated media and in-memory job records expire automatically, generally within a short operational period. Consent records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary to document acceptance, investigate misuse, respond to a complaint or protect legal rights. Hosting, security and infrastructure providers may retain limited logs under their own retention settings. Support or complaint records may be retained for as long as reasonably required to respond, document action and manage legal or security issues.
Disclosure and service providers
We may use hosting, network, security, email and analytics providers. Those providers may process technical information in Australia or other countries. Information may also be disclosed where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect rights or safety, comply with law, or respond to a valid legal request.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics is available only after you choose Allow analytics in the cookie controls. Until then, analytics storage remains denied and the site does not load the Google Analytics library. When allowed, Google may process page views, browser and device details, approximate location derived from network information, and limited interaction events such as whether analysis or file preparation succeeds. Our custom events use broad source categories and output choices; they do not intentionally send the pasted media URL, video title or generated file to Google Analytics.
You can withdraw or change this choice at any time through the Cookie settings control in the footer.
Google AdSense advertising
The site may use Google AdSense to display advertising after the site is approved for monetisation. Google and its advertising partners may process device, browser, network, page-view and advertising interaction information to select, deliver, limit, measure and protect ads. The AdSense account identifier is published in the page source and in the site's ads.txt file.
Advertising consent and privacy messages for visitors in relevant regions may be provided through Google's certified Consent Management Platform. Depending on the visitor's location and choices, Google may show personalised ads, non-personalised ads or limited ads. The media URL, video title and generated file are not intentionally sent to Google as custom advertising parameters.
